Ratan Lal Nath: There is a ruckus in Tripura over the statement of Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath in the BJP government that he washes his face with cow urine. The opposition is fiercely attacking his statement. Attacking the Congress and the CPIM, he had said that those who talk about democracy should first wash their mouths with cow urine. He made this comment keeping in mind the upcoming elections in the state.
Reaction is also being seen from the opposition on his statement. CPM General Secretary Jitendra Chaudhary has said that we are not surprised by his words because it is natural for people who regularly drink cow urine to get angry at the word democracy. So there, All India Congress Committee Secretary Sajarita Latphlang said that we wash our face with clean water but it is not available in the state. Rinsing with cow urine is BJP’s job.

In response to this, Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that before talking about democracy, the opposition parties should wash their mouths with cow urine. Even before this, Left and Congress leaders have attacked the BJP rule in Tripura saying that democracy is in danger.
